Pushing InfoTerrain 1 a step forward,
InfoTerrain 2 also explores interaction with screen interfaces through a morphing surface peripherial.
Moving the disc repositions the mouse-pointer on-screen.
When a screen object (link, icon, etc.) enters the hot-zone surrounding the mouse-pointer, the pin array morphs to display a "button" corresponding with the screen object.
The "button" that appeared allows clicking on the screen object, while exposing its qualities, through shape & behavior.
For example, a "button's" height can represent the size of a folder, or the score of a link in google.
While a rhythmic up N' down movement can make feel the current beat playing on a personlized radio station at Last.fm. |
