"Balance" interaction is inspired from an old cigarette cradle, a stylish symbol of social status, that made the smoker gestures graceful.
Information is metaphorically organised in a "carrousel", and is constantly animated on a small size display ("the news board in Times Square").
The user navigate menues through tilting the phone out of its balance.
The more tilt the faster the scroll speed is. coming back to balance slows animation speed until resting in horizontal position.
An accelerometer tracks tilting gestures. A touch sencor locks the interface untill a finger is introduced in the finger notch. Enter and Back buttons confirm and cancel user selections.
